Last year National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine conducted the world’s first comprehensive rating of adventure travel outfitters. To build on the success of the project (check out the results in our November 2007 issue, as well as at ngadventure.com/ratings), we’re pleased to announce that we will be updating and expanding these ratings for 2009. Once again, the results will be featured in the magazine as well as on our website, creating the ultimate trip-planning resource for adventure travelers.

To be eligible for inclusion, please fill out the attached survey. (Note: If you completed a survey last year, you still must fill out the attached form in order to be considered.)

We invite all adventure-travel outfitters to fill out the survey below to be eligible for consideration. Outfitters' practices will be evaluated in four categories:

Education and Interpretation
Sustainable-Travel Practices
Quality of Service
Spirit of Adventure

1. To make your company eligible for consideration, please fill out the following survey. Surveys must be completed by current company employees. Download the outfitter survey by clicking here >>

2. Fill in your answers and save your completed survey as a Microsoft Word or PDF document. Use the name of your company to name the Word or PDF file (example: Outfitter_Name.doc or Outfitter_Name.pdf).

3. Email your completed survey to the address below. Please type “Completed Outfitter Survey" in the subject line of your email message.

Completed surveys must be received by August 10, 2008. Responses received after this date will not be evaluated. Early responses would be greatly appreciated.
