Meet the new Adventurers of the Year at
the National Geographic Headquarters

Enter for a chance to receive two all-access passes to the Adventurer of the Year party on November 20, 2008, at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C. Meet explorers from around the globe and ADVENTURE editors at this high-profile event honoring the extraordinary people, landmark achievements, and innovative gear featured in the "Best of Adventure" year-end issue. At the party, guests will have a chance to win a trip to South Africa and “Best of Adventure” gear.

Special appearances will include previous Adventurer of the Year honorees Andrew Skurka and Colin and Julie Angus.

In 2007, Skurka hiked the Great Western Loop in 208 days—a 6,875-mile journey. In 2006, the Anguses circumnavigated the globe on their own power, walking, rowing, and biking more than 26,000 miles over a record 720 days.
