Class VI Mountain River

Photo:

In 2008, two veteran West Virginia outfitters merged their 77 years of combined experience negotiating the Class I-V whitewater of the Gauley and New Rivers to create Class VI Mountain River. Itineraries loop in the East Coast's best whitewater rafting with rock climbing, mountain biking, flyfishing, or kayaking. At the end of each day, you'll return to Class VI Mountain River's basecamp lodge, set on 160 acres overlooking the New River, for a pint at the pub and a soak in the hot tub at your private cabin.
