My boyfriend and I lived in Bozeman for a year in 2007 and are moving back this spring. I can't say enough good things about it. Low or no crime, cultural downtown with great restaurants, 2 ski areas (Big Sky and Bridger Bowl), a nice airport, and one hour from Yellowstone - what more could you want?

To scare the CA ppl that have bolluxed up CA and now want to move somewhere else (from a Dem like me): Wonder why crime is so low here in FoCo? We have the highest rate of concealed carry permits in the state and our area hosts several of the most highly regarded combat pistol shooting and sniper competitions in the state. Also, we think that people having a flock of chickens in their backyard is OK.
