We rented a Jeep and drove to the ghost town of Animas Forks,Engineer Pass(12800), Cinnamon Pass(12640), and Ophir Pass(11789). It was a real adventure for us as the highest peak in our state is less than 4000 feet. It really got interesting when we got into a snow storm on Engineer Pass.
We were very happy with our room at the Bent Elbow.
Our favorite restaurant was the Pickle Barrel.
If you go make sure to get out of town and EXPLORE.
