Beyond the standing waves of the Blue Hill tidal falls remains the balance of the Salt Pond. As a native of Blue Hill, I strongly suggest that you paddle inland past nesting bald eagles, loons, waterfowl and spectacular scenery, into this gem of an estuary. Pack a lunch. The waters are always 10 degrees F warmer than the bay, calm and generally fog free.
