Sisters is NOT in the Willamette Valley, rather it is east of the Cascades. For trail info, best source is Bill Sulivan's book on hikes in the Central Cascades, available at local stores.

I'd love to hear about more trails to hike around Sisters, or possibly some snowshoeing routes. I'm heading there in November.

Actually, Sisters in NOT in the Willamette Valley, it's on the other side of the Cascades.
But everything else is spot on. Sno Cap makes the best clonk burgers (when you eat it, it hits the bottom of your stomach with a "CLONK!"). Also, don't miss fishing and rafting the Deschutes. And for a hike with a lot of bang for your buck hike Mt. Tumalo, literally across the street from Bachelor.
