I would like to direct your readers attention to another hero on K2 that day. Pemba's climbing partner Gerard McDonnell. Read about what he did that day in the web article "Best of ExplorersWeb 2008 Award Winner: K2, Gerard McDonnell. There were also other heroes that lost their lives on K2 this year trying to help others, including Pasang Bhote and Jumic Bhote.
