I was in YNP in Nov '08. Very Surreal place! Loved it. Only the north road is open that time of year, but was all I needed, and not many visitors around, so had most of it to myself. Lamar Valley is an awesome area. Bison, Elk, Grizlies, and Wolves can be seen there. Can't wait to get back and visit the other areas. Alot of area to be explored. Just take your bear spray if hiking. And don't be the fool that gets out of his car with his camera, close to the bison. Not worth the risk.

Yellowstone is truly awesome. I have been there four times and could go every year! I enjoy studying the ancient volcano just below the surface and pondering on the aftermath of a Yellowstone eruption happening in the next 10-1,000 years or so. Fortunately the plume seems to be over a thicker part of North America, so this is not something I am going to lose sleep over!

I LOVE that place. It is stunningly beautiful. It made me consider for a few moments moving to Wyoming just to be able to see it anytime I wanted to. Actually, I haven't stopped considering it. Everyone in the United States should see Yellowstone at least once in their lives. It puts life in perspective.

I have been there and would love to go back.It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places i have ever been. I think that the Yellowstone area is the only other place on earth I would want to live, versus Kentucky my current home
