For lift served snow riding the Arc'teryx Men's Stingray Pant offers comfort and performance that's hard to beat. Made with 590N GORE-TEX Softshell Low Loft fabric it features a tough woven outer surface that's relatively soft to the touch and a brushed knit liner that feels more like a lightweight base layer than a rain shell. Laminated between these two layers is the waterproof and breathable membrane for turn carving comfort when the weather turns sour. The powder cuffs and WaterTight hand pocket zips are laminated instead of sewn, an innovation Arc'teryx introduced to the ski and snowboard industry in 1998 that improves garment strength, and reduces garment bulk and weight. Keprotec, a material that consists of 25 Kevlar, wraps around the hem for abrasion and cut resistance that stands up to icy crust and sharp ski edges. Articulated knees and a gusseted crotch offer non-binding comfort that maximizes the freedom of catching air or floating down the mountain awash in fresh powder.

Unfortunately too big
These pants are really very nice. I would describe them as bomb proof. Arcteryx doesn't make inexpensive clothing, but this is a perfect example of getting what you pay for. Unfortunately for me, they were simply too big and I had to return them. I will certainly consider these pants again when I find the right size.

Great fitting pants, not sure about durability
Very comfortable, not had the chance to ski with them. But perhaps not enough protection at cuffs to stop tears and cuts

great pant...
These pants are very soft to the touch and don't become crinkly like the pro-shell does. A lite fleece liner keeps the chill away. They are a roomy cut great to ride in. Another fine Arc'teryx product, just wish they would have made them in black cause the blackbird is a strange color. I exchanged mine and got the black which goes better with my jackets...
