Burton Blunt Snowboard

Redesigned with improved performance features, Burton's Blunt snowboard offers a skate-inspired ride that won't bust your budget. The Blunt snowboard works well for big, aggressive recreational snowboarders who go hard on the groomed and throughout the park. Like the value-minded Clash and Bullet, the Blunt Snowboard uses an affordable and proven Fly wood core, a strategic balance of lighter woods in specific areas for better response and denser woods where support is essential. This season design tweaks include very slight width adjustments (a smidgen wider) and Burton's Pressure Distribution Edges with Rail Ready Tuning that allows you to slide without hanging up or sacrificing grip. Other proven features from seasons past remain the same: Bi-directional layers in the Biax React fiberglass around the wood core give the board a little more flex than boards with Triax fiberglass, giving you a little more forgiveness when you need it. The Lightspeed Vision Base offers an incredibly smooth extruded base that can glide even without wax. The "Vision" in the name means that you'll never have to worry about others looking at dull graphics when you explode off the rim of a halfpipe. Unlike some entry-level or recreational snowboards, the Blunt has a negative core profile, not an even core profile that sometimes offers more stability to beginners. The negative core profile could lengthen the learning curve a tad for some riders, but the advantage is that new riders learn how to control the board through independent foot control sooner than riders who later transition (with added expense) to a negative core snowboard. Because most Burton boards feature a negative core profile, transitioning from the Blunt to a more advanced design doesn't require much adaptation because you're ahead of the learning curve. It's a mid-wide snowboard with a tough and smokin' skate flex that comes at a price that won't tap all the cash from your stash.

This is one SICK board!!
I bought the Blunt 155 just before heading out to Park City, UT. Although the snow conditions weren't great, the board was AMAZING. It's like the Mercedes of snowboarding. All my cousins still rent their boards, which suck. But I was owning the slopes while riding with them, cuz this board is so AWESOME.

Best deal out there! Fantastic board!
I am a 6'2" 190lb intermediate rider and I absolutely love this board! Excellent flexibility for freestyling and a smooth ride on all types of snow. I highly recommend this board to any beginner-intermediate rider in the market for a new board.

This is one badass board
This was my first major upgrade in my gear for quite a while, and i must say that this board is sick. It's very easy to get used to and handles amazing in the park. The thing i love about it though is you can shred in the park then go up to the top of the mountain and shred the pow. This is really a fantastic board.
