Great non-wool hat also fits women's sizes!
This hat is designed for children, but fits women's sizes as well. This is a great medium-weight acrylic hat. It is very soft and stretchy, so on an adult, it's close-fitting but stays on comfortably. It is also reversible--both "sides" are nearly the same, except one has a few more stripes. Great for cool/cold weather activities. I liked the first one I bought so much that I got two more in different colors.

Cute Beanie
We got this beanie for our daughter and it is cute at a button. She is turing 6 turning 7 in a few months and it is the perfect size. The colors are very pleasant and the fabric is soft and warm.
