Because parking spots on campus are a rare commodity, this ingenious commuter pack holds everything you need for a day of waging war on two wheels instead of four. The padded laptop pocket safely holds up to a 17-inch computer, and thats not all. A handy hydration tube port means it can also carry a hydration bladder during those long extra-curricular joyrides. The Manifest is outfitted with rugged Cordura fabric featuring Omni-Shield advanced repellency, so contents stay safe and dry. Compression straps let you customize the pack to fit its cargo, and the supportive hip belt can be removed if you so desire. An expandable front shove-it pocket is a perfect spot to stash your bike helmet, while dual side water-bottle pockets hold-on-the-go hydration. The carry handle at center top doubles as a bike light loop. Reflective accents keep you visible in low light conditions. A bevy of organization pockets store all your small items securely.

Very Good Bag
I purchased this bag after having positive experiences with Columbia products in the past. It lived up to the brand name, and was very comfortable to walk around with while traveilng. The zipper can be a little difficult to close from time to time given the bag design and somewhat narrower body design, but it should not prevent you from considering this bag. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was in the market for something that would suit me well on a motorcycle. I'd been carrying around an old Jansport for years and I knew it wouldn't hold up on the bike, so I went with the Manifest. I haven't had a chance to use it in the rain or any turbulent conditions, but after a couple rides I think it works great. The pack is very light, sleek, and has the latches to stay secure on my back. It's also possible to adjust the width of the backpack depending on how much I'm carrying, but don't expect to fit a pair of shoes and a full outfit in this bag. If this backpack can withstand the rain and keep all my belongings dry, then it's a sure buy for anyone on a street bike with a daily commute ahead of them.

Love pack disappointed with laptop compartment
The Manifest is a great all around backpack. I got it because I needed a bigger pack to hold my new 17" laptop. It can hold the laptop in the main compartment. There is another pocket after the main compartment with a sleeve which can hold a smaller laptop or hydro pack which was not shown in the youtube videos I watched about the pack. I tried putting the laptop in that compartment but it wouldn't close. The zipper opening is narrower then the main compartment zipper and other pockets. This is the only thing that really disappoints me about the pack, because it would be safer to put my laptop there then in the main compartment. I really like the pack and how light it is. I will probably add a small towel to the main compartment when carrying the 17" laptop to add a little more protection. I haven't abused this pack yet but it looks like it is made of better material than my northface which is still hanging in there.
