Great Backwoods/Flyfishing Pants
I purchased these pants to meet three specific requirements. I needed them to repel insects because I flyfish and the insects usually are where the fish can be found. Swatting mosquitos and green flies detracts from casting frequency. I wanted a full length pant I could wear to deter scratches and scrapes from brush when walking into choice fishing spots yet also wanted to convert to a short so I could fish small streams sans waders. I also wanted a material that would dry quickly when wet and a zipper that would not chafe the skin around my knees when I converted them to shorts. These pants surpassed all my expectations during a week long fishing/backpacking trip in the Adirondacks last week. They are remarkably light weigh and comfortable. I stand 6"3", 220 and the XL fit very comfortably. I highly recommend these pants.

These convertible pants fit perfect. Quality is good. Am looking forward to having them on a 3 week trip to Alaska. This will test out the bug repelling feature. Being light weight and quick drying make them perfect for traveling light.
