Columbia Men's Exploratory Sweater

This is a decent merino wool pullover. It falls into the light to mid range insulation category. This sweater is nice since it does offer good insulation for it's volume, though being wool, it is dense and fairly heavy (for those expecting fleece-like feathery light weight). I am always looking for low bulk insulation for travel, and this fits the bill. The sweater is stylish: material itself is really nice (very smooth finish to the wool), and the fit is slim (as described). My only criticism is the arms: I am 190 cm tall and 85kg (6'3" and ~188lbs), and ordered both a medium and a large, just in case. I found the medium to have a good fit through the body, and was the right overall length; however, the medium had slightly short and extremely slim arms - almost constricting, and I am not exactly bulky in that area... The large was better in the arms, but too loose and a little long through the torso for my taste. I am keeping the medium. I would say that this pullover is great for someone who likes very close fitting sleeves. Can't speak to durability yet.

I ordered this Sweater 'sight unseen' which I rarely do! It arrived very quickly and was exactly what I was hoping for. A midweight simple sweater that fit well (I'm 5'10" 180lbs - LG). The arms are quite tapered and the length is 'plenty'. If you are bigger than me - get the XL. A great deal - with great sevice!
