Columbia Women's Plus Size Sandy River Cargo Short

Looking forward to wearing the shorts on our upcoming cruise! They are very comfortable and I like all of the zippered pockets. Purchased the men's version for my husband and his also are nice.

These are awesome shorts!!
These shorts are roomy and comfortable and look nice - the fabric is very lightweight (should dry quickly) yet feels durable. I like them so much I'm going to order some other colors! I would have given them a 5-star rating, except for 2 very minor details: the web belt has a plastic (or hard nylon) clasp - not sure how that will hold up?; and the "cargo" pockets. I really appreciate the fact that Columbia recognizes that not all outdoor-loving women are size 6; being able to find quality women's apparel in plus sizes is awesome. But if you're going to offer "cargo" shorts - then put some decent pockets on them! While the small, flat cargo pockets are more flattering to one's figure - they look like they'll hold a small cell phone. Or a Chap Stick. But there's certainly not room for a GPS or some granola bars. As long as you don't feel a need to carry everything but the kitchen sink in your pockets - you're going to LOVE these shorts!

I bought these for a white water trip, the fabric dries very fast, they are comfortable and a great color. I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 because they have a plastic zipper, otherwise they are perfect.

Sandy Cargo Shorts
The fit was very large to the size I thought would come. I did not like the plastic zipper and would prefer a metal one. The belt was flimsy. I returned them as I know I would want something to hold up to years of rugged outdoor use.
