Nice but snug fitting
I'm normally a size 8 US (or Medium), though I've noticed that a lot of soft shells and ski jackets these days are form fitted, so I sometimes go up a size to a 10 or a large (like with North Face products). With this Craghoppers jacket, I started with a size 12 (which the size guide is equivalent to 8 US) and it was really snug... just fit if I were wearing a tee shirt with no sweater. So then I got a size 14, and the torso area felt better and I was able to put it over a sweater fairly comfortably... *but* the arms still felt quite tight and restricted. I wouldn't be comfortable wearing it for anything active that required arm movement. So, unless you have particularly thin arms (perhaps a thin woman in her teens and 20s), you may also find this to be an issue. Otherwise, it's a very nice looking jacket (more ski jacket styling than fleece/casual wear styling) and appears well made. The lining is a nice thick fake sherpa, which is cozy but being off white, may get to look dingy quickly.
