Love this pack
I bought the Poacher back in 2001-2002 and its been used and abused! It's still in awesome condition considering how much abuse i've given it. It's been with me everywhere from snowboarding out west, to Africa/Greece/Morocco/Spain and backcountry riding out in the High Peaks of the ADK's in NY. It's showing signs of wear, where the internal braces affix to the inside bottom of the pack, and the top handle stiching came undone but its been that way for years now without breaking. I've also learned this pack doubles as a floatation device, while canyoning in AZ last summer. Can't say enough good things about this pack, lots of hidden pockets and useful features that aren't common even in the high-end multi-day packs. Oh yeah, VERY comfortable too! Good job Dakine!
Great
Great Pack, I am a ski patroller and it holds my shovel, probe and all of the other necessary things with ease. It isn't too big or too small so i can fit my lunch and other nice goodies in it. Great Pack
Very Capable Backpack
I love that this backpack can carry a snowboard no problem. I go to Mammoth for weekend trips a lot and this pack fits the bill perfectly for it. The only problem for me is that there are so many compartments and places to put things that I got confused at first. I wish that there was more information in the mini manual or online to explain what everything is for. I guess I'll have to find out along the way. The only gripes I have is that I wish I bought the guide version which is bigger and that there were places to put boots securely somewhere. It's a great pack and I'm totally glad to have it.
