Overall Great Shorts!
Normally I wear a size 6-8 (27 waist 37 hips) so I ordered the medium based upon the size chart. Way too big! Ordered the smalls and they fit perfect. I am 5 feet 5.5 inches and the shorts stop right above my knee caps. The material feels durable but light weight, which is perfect for the Texas heat. The side zip pockets are nice and deep, but would like to see an additional cargo pocket added. Overall great shorts and very comfortable. Would definitely purchase another pair.

A hearty pair of shorts
When I initally received the DaKine Siren Shorts, I was surprised at how heavy the fabric was and I was worried that it would result in chaffing and that they woud be too warm for summer riding. I can happily report that the shorts have performed well in both warm conditions, over long miles, and on ather chilly downhills. I have crashed in the shorts and due to the more sturdy fabric they didn't tear. They are perfectly stretchy, but not so much that you catch them on your seat. Overall a good pair of shorts. They are a little small around the bottom and it can be hard to pull them up far enough if you want to put on leg warmers.
