Reviews
This is a great day pack.
This pack is very well designed and well made. It could easily fit my 15in LT with ease. I especially enjoy the helmet compartment which I could quickly stuff jacket, rain gear...food on the go. The "airstrip" provides very comfortable and sturdy support even when I have a heavy load. If you're looking for a day pack, the Cross City surely will give you your money's worth.
Excellent backpack
Very nice backpack. I had a High Sierra before which was nice, but the Cross City is a lot better engineered. The Airstripes system makes a huge difference, and all of the pockets and compartments are laid out very well. It really seems to have everything I need and nothing I don't. The material seems pretty heavy-duty, too.
Great bike commuting pack
This pack easily accomodates my Dell Latitude D830, power brick, external mouse, and change of clothes, including shoes. The rain cover, which I purchased seperately fits over the pack perfectly (select the yellow one). I'm able to use the helmet pocket to hold the rain cover (which is in a slim case) along with my spare tube/patch kit. The side mesh pockets easily accomodate my glasses and cell phone. There are extra zip pockets to shove wallet, keys, etc. into. This is a well designed pack that is comfortable to wear while riding my road bike to work -- the special pads do help keep my back cooler than other packs I have used. My only complaint is that when stuffed very full, my helmet hits the top of the pack when I sit up or rock my head back. Not a big deal. It's not overly large, but large enough to accomodate all the essentials and then some. The waist strap adds some stability when stuffed very full, but can be cinched up and kept out of the way when not needed. This pack is worth the money for the serious bike commuter.
Loving it, except...
Loving it. Only complaint is the unbuckling needed to access zippered compartments.
