Deuter Kid Comfort III Child Carrier

This pack is wonderful
We have taken our 18 month old son on several hikes since getting this carrier. He loves it. We had a Kelty before this one (an older one) and he would get tired of being in it after about an hour. He has ridden in this one for well over 4 hours and was sad when we took him out of it. It is very well made and padded better than most for both your comfort and your kid's. There is plenty of room to carry other toddler necessities in the pouch below the seat. It is equipped to hold a hydration pack which is a great feature. The only problem at all (and really it is a necessary evil as it also helps provide better support for your child) is that the back comes up pretty high so it can catch on tree branches. This is a great product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to carry their child on long hikes.

Great Carrier
This is carrier has been a huge help - both for me and my son (now 11 months). The carrier is really supportive and does nor thus kill my back as many of these do. My son likes it as he sits high up and is able to see well. Note that this model is physically quite big (tall) and hence at time tricky to travel with (particularly by plane). Still, I would definitely recommend this. The quality is very good.

Quality
I started using it when my son was 7 months old. He usually falls asleep in the first minutes and hangs to the side. The rain/sun cover is great. it has lots of adjustments, it feels comfortable. Good quality, very well located pockets and compartments, plenty of room for stuff. Strongly recommend.

Worth every penny!
Our son (7 months) has smiled since the minute we put him in the carrier! He loves it and seems to be really comfortable. Our first hike was about 1.5 hours and he slept for half of it and just looked around for the other half. The fit of the pack is amazing for me, it doesn't feel like I am carrying close to 30 lbs (baby and pack). There was plenty of room in the backpack for all of the necessary supplies and the H20 pack fit my camelback bladder perfectly. I am looking forward to much longer hikes and I am glad I made this investment and didn't just go with a carrier based on price. In addition I just ordered the rain shield and will be excited to test that out as well. I also love the fact that this backpack gives me an opportunity to workout AND spend time with our son! Thanks for making such a great, high quality pack!

Top Quality
I haven't tried it with the baby because he is still too small but I am impressed with the quality of this carrier. It is well constructed and with several pockets for stuff and a hydration system. It is a little bulky, takes a big chunk of space in the trunk of a regular car but at the same time it is very light weight. I think the extra cost is worth when you compare it with other carriers and I strongly recommend it.
