Exped DownMat 7 Pump Sleeping Pad

Warmer and softer
Recently used this mat on a 19 degree overnighter with my 15 degree down sleeping bag. I am a very cold sleeper and previous experiences in these conditions with a Thermarest ProLite 4 left me shivering most of the night. But this time I was nice and warm and the extra cushioning was just an added bonus. The mat weighed 33.1oz on my postal scale which is a bit heavy but I'm convinced I would have to add that much weight to my sleeping bag to be as warm and I still wouldn't have the extra cushioning that this mat offers. In the 0.7 oz bag provided it packs to a 6.25" diameter by 9" long bundle. The integral pump works fine. I was able to pump it up with 60 strokes in about 1 1/2 minutes with reasonable effort. The trick is to seal the intake opening completely with the palm of your hand on the downstroke. The mat measures a full 20" wide by 72" long with no rounded off corners or taper like the Thermarest. But the 3 1/4" thickness is where the real difference is at. Probably still use my Thermarest for ultralight weight warm weather ventures but I'll sure miss the comfort of this mat.

Good Mat
Im 6' 2.5" 190 i have broad shoulders and this mat is fine for me, its so surprising how well it supports your body. I would recommend but i also just looked at the reviews online and choose the mat.

best sleeping pad thus far
I have a deluxe 9 pad that you inflate with the bag. This system takes a bit of getting used to, however, the pad stays inflated through the whole night. Much unlike those pesky air valve pads. I enjoyed using this pad, due to its warmth and considerable comfort. You do not feel the contents of what you are sleeping on, e.g. brush, sticks, ect. I've found that you may also pack a lighter sleeping bag, because of the warmth produced by the pad.

Compact, Confortable, and Easy to use
Bought this for bicycle touring, Works great, Compact in size fit in bottom of pannier. Only took about 1-2 minutes to pump, and the same to deflate. Very comfortable and warm, slept all night without sliding off.

Excellent comfort,warmth,ease of use, compactness, nonslip
Used this at 9,600' last weekend with my XL Big Agnes bag and it fit perfectly and never slipped.Packed it in about 8kms. Nicely compact and light. Easily and quickly filled with air. Temperature was below freezing but was never cold.Slept comfortably, I'm 6'1" and 80kg.Deflating, rolling up and putting it in stow bag it came with was under 5min. Just excellent!
