This is a great looking and wearable hat that I expect will last for many years. As expected, this is top quality from Filson. The hat fits well using the measurements on the sizing chart.

I own several Filson items and this is my second Filson Hat. The brim is much wider than the Packer Hat and offers much more protection in the field. It's a little stiff at first and require a short break in period but soon gets softer with age. Gets better with age.

Filson Tin Cloth Bush Hat
The Filson Tin Cloth Bush Hat is the peak of excellence for a bush hat!. They run a little large, but expect breathability and protection. I wore mine all summer and Fall for outdoor chores and play. It certainly kept my bald head protected from the sun, and sheltered from the rain. Top notch hat!

I found out that if you are right on the edge of a hat size order the smaller one because then you can stretch it. The Tin Cloth is amazing! For winter I would recommend the wool hat tho.

Great hat with a minor ding
This hat is great! I put it on as soon as it arrived to my house which was fortunate as the sun has been beating down as of late. What I love about the hat is its durability of the material. It speaks volumes that this hat is going to last me for a very long time and the wide brim tends to block the majority of the sun from hitting me. The minor ding for this hat is that it doesn't vent well. While hiking, fishing, or working around the house (temperature in the mid-90s) I have to remove the hat and wipe the sweat off more often than not. I say this is a minor ding because the fix was simple...I added more vent holes. Suffice to say, this greatly added to the ventilation and decreased the amount of sweat produced.
