This helmet has now been used by my teen daughter several times and fits well. It stays in place well once adjusted correctly and holds the goggles with a snap clip which I think is a good idea for when the kids let their goggles dangle while carrying their helmets. My son has a different design/brand helmet and his goggles are always falling off. After trying this helmet on I decided to purchase an additional one for myself as we are trying to set a good example on safety for our children. I was surprised how comfortable the helmet was to wear while skiing. I really didn't even notice that I had it on and it didn't interfere with my vision as I was worried that it might.

I bought this helmet after reading reviews and specs of similar Giro models, as well as a Burton RED helmet that I wore as a rental and liked. Deciding factors for me were: 1. A snowboard instructor recommended it, 2. It has more air vents than other helmets, 3. The design (orange tulips) was so cute, and 4. It was on sale. I wore it on the slope for the first time this past weekend, and was very happy with it. The different thicknesses of foam pads allowed me to create a comfortable fit, it worked well with my goggles, and the chin strap was comfortable. I was worried that it would feel heavy and cumbersome after a full day of riding (it's about 6-8 ounces heavier than most helmets) but it didn't. And I love the cute and distinctive design! I gave it 4 stars for durability and comfort b/c I haven't owned it long enough to judge the first, and my ear got a little chafed near the end from something - but I'm sure I could adjust something and fix that.

i really needed a helmet so i shopped around and found this sweet giro encore 2. I am defiantly happy with this buy . it gets the job done for an affordable price . the ear pads with the built in head phone pockets are great because you can use your own head phones. and the venting is amazing because your head never gets sweaty! it fits great and if your head ever shrinks or grows it comes with free extra ear pads! like a boss

I am using this helmet almost everyday while riding my bike and enjoying it a lot. It is light, comfortable, very stylish and seems to be really sturdy. The ear pads interferes with my glasses, but once I get the right position, my glasses remain stable. I chose this model because it would be suitable for Summer and Winter. So far, it has kept my head warm and dry and I hope it will work well in July too. I saw some models with an adjustment that regulates the number of holes which could be a nice improvement for this one.
