Gregory Z22 Backpack
A large pack design compressed into a performance utility package, the new for 07 Gregory Z22 Backpack is ultra light with a unique Jet Stream DTS (Dynamic Transfer System) suspension system. Like big brother, the harness system is mounted to the main pack on crisscrossing bars. A tensioning system that stiffens the frame and offers additional support when more weight is loaded into the pack, keeps the pack off your back for maximum airflow, while dynamically adjusting with the weight in your pack. Ideal for daylong fast packing adventures including mountain traverses, hiking, peak bagging, and adventure racing, this pack handles up to 25 pounds of gear comfortably in its 1,300 cubic inch capacity. The simple panel loading main pocket features a hydration sleeve, a small zipper pocket on top, and stretchy mesh outer pockets for random extras. The hip-belt stash pockets provide easy access of sunscreen, energy bars, MP3, and quick need necessities.

Very good value
Pack has worked out very well for me. Used it in many trips deep into some Colorado canyons, and has never failed me. Very durable and reliable, works fantastic for day trips.
Gregory Z 22
I bought this pack because I wanted a small pack to carry to football games. My packs I use for hiking were too big to take in the stadium. Because I decided to buy the pack on the day I needed it I had to settle for a small size... all that was in stock and at least would fit my wife for hiking. I am 6'1" & 260 pounds and the pack does ride high along with the harness being too small for me but it works. I STILL carried this pack for 2 years and never once was it a discomfort. I almost never know it is on my back. It is the most used pack by myself and wife and because of that I purchased another (August 2010) in a medium size which is perfect for me. The medium is a little bigger though. I wish the small size was made with a medium harness system. This pack (And all of my Gregory packs) are very light and extremely durable. The Jet Stream Dynamic Transfer System is out of this world. One thing I love about this pack are the pockets attached to the waist belt that is easily accessible. I keep a GPS and knife in one pocket and snacks to keep my BG elevated (Type 1 DB). I also have a Z 55 for backpacking and Z 25 for hiking entire days or a one nighter.
Smart Choice
I am a runner and I was looking for a backpack that I could use while I was running. This backpack did the trick! It is very light weight and has pockets on the hip belt, which make it easy to access what ever you put there. I also use it on day hikes. It is great for those. It fits really well and you can get it nice and snug to your body.
Great Day Pack
Z22 is a great pack for one day hiking and riding. I have an yellow one. And I send an red one as a present to my hiking friends. It is very comfortable. I would like to recommend it to my friends
Great Daypack
I bought this pack for day hiking in cooler weather to carry lunch, layered clothing, water, etc. It's the perfect size for this purpose and fits well. I have owned Gregory packs in the past and the Z22 meets my high expectations. Buy one - you'll love it!
