Hard to shop for 6'4" husband
i buy Helly Hanson items for my husband because the quality is excellent & the items fit. At 6'4", 185#'s, long legs & arms, big shoulders, it is very challenging to find clothes that fit that don't need tailoring. The HH Pace shirt fits & looks amazing. Usually when the sleeves are long enough, the body is HUGE! This shirt fits his body & tapers nicely to his waist. I'd recommend the shirt highly!

New Dimension of Baselayer Workout Gear!
I've purchased baselayers and workout/running shirts from Patagonia, Nike, Icebreaker, etc. I first got into HH when I discovered one of HH's long sleeve zip neck shirts that is half synthetic and half merino (HH Warm). Of course these summer shirts such as the Pace LS (and I also own the Pace Short Sleeve) are the best designed shirts I've ever seen or used. Stylish no doubt. But what sets synthetic shirts apart from cotton or merino is its ability to wick and effectively remain lightweight during high output exercise. But what sets synthetic shirts apart from other synthetic shirts is design. Here's where I am loading up on HH stuff this year. The Pace LS has a great way to keep you warm yet allow you to breath, not just in virtue of the material being synthetic, but where the shirt has thinner or thicker fabric as well as ventilation holes--e.g., the entire back of this shirt has a cool (pun intended) lighter and more open weave for air to escape. Basically the shirt matches very well your sweat, moisture, and warmth needs of the body. Well mapped. Yes, this shirt is light enough to be worn in warmer weather when you need more sun protection. This is the lightest and best designed long sleeve shirt for this purpose that I have seen or owned. Zip neck add more flexibility for temp regulation. I have a ton of things like this. Icebreaker GT stuff will not touch this stuff, especially in warmer weather: HH is lighter and will breath better (and if you happen to do wash on a regular basis then merino doesn't win out at all). Patagonia, Arcteryx (I own some of their synthetics), and TNF stuff is not in the league of HH design. Add to the fact that HH is not overpriced and the value is exceptional. Plus Altrec's new return policy. You've got to check out the Pace SS and Stride SS as well.
