Stitching and zippers are most important to me. I checked out both and they are excellent. My notbook inside its carrying case fits easily into the slot provided. It's also comfortable to carry on my back. I like this backpack! Perfect fits the description of this backpack. Thank You.

Bombproof
My sixth grader has used this backpack every day for a year. She treats it brutally, drags it around, and stuffs it with what has to be 30 pounds of "essentials" every day. Amazingly, it shows little to no sign of wear. The zippers are large and zip smoothly, the straps are just wide enough and are well placed, and the pack is well designed overall. I would without hesitation buy another one, but I don't think I'll have to for a very long time.

Solid Computer Backpack
I bought this pack to carry my lap-top to college, as well as all the books & notebooks etc. For this purpose it is fantastic. The lap-top sleeve is very well padded, especially on the bottom where it needs it most. It is very large with plenty of pockets to carry all your supplies. It seems to be very solidly built, but only time will tell. The only problem I've had with it, is that I had to send the 1st one back and order a replacement. It was a quality control issue; there is this great zipper at the the top, next to where the shoulder straps attach, that allows you direct access to just the lap-top. In sewing the strap in more securely, they sewed into the teeth of the zipper chewing them up and also not allowing the zipper to open all the way. This should have been caught by the seamstress and quality control. Altrec handled this problem fantastically and I had the replacement in no time. Thanks Altrec!
