Ibex Men's Global Wool Pants

High quality wool pants
I received the Ibex Global wool pants about 5 months ago and have worn them approximately 30-40 times. These pants are high quality wool pants - manufactured and designed to last. Not too thick or heavy but warm and mid to light weight. The stitching is solid and tough. They can be used in both dress-up or casual situations, but they almost look too stylish to wear dressed down. They have a tailored fit and the wool makes them warm in the colder seasons and I do get hot in them if it is warm out say over the mid-50's. I wear them whenever I travel via Air since they allow me to keep my temperature regulated perfectly, especially while waiting in the terminal or in my seat where the temperature can vary greatly. I have received many comments on these pants from my friends and family and I would not hesitate to give these to someone as a very respectable gift. I think the dark charcoal color goes with most everything. Also I really like the side cargo pocket to hold my wallet and phone, it is sized just right. These pants are certainly on the expensive side (around $180), but I would purchase these again. I really like that Altrec has my back on returns so I felt that I really had little risk in purchasing this item. Thank you.

New go to pants!
Love the new pants! Was pleasantly surprised by the color (Charcoal). Pictures made them seem lighter than actual. Have only worn them twice but fit is great...sits well on waist rather than being snug on hips. I am 5 11, 155lbs bought 32s.

Not what I was looking for, but nice...
I've been looking for a pair of nice wool pants which can stand up to the a minimal amount of abuse, look good, and keep me warm. This is a tall order for a single garment, and I think it really is too much to ask. I was hoping the Global Wool pants would be a good mixture of wool work pants and casual jeans design. In the end, they satisfy the "casual jeans" part of the equation, but the wool is fairly light and the fit is a little restrictive to handle the "work pant" aspect. I recommend these pants for someone who is looking for some casual wool pants for daily use at work and out and about. I found the fit to be so-so.. a little tight through the hips and too long overall -- they would have had to be hemmed. In review, I can imagine someone really loving these pants, but that person isn't me. I returned them. Ibex makes amazing stuff, and I'm a convert - you win some, you lose some.
