worth the extra money
I've never paid more than $15 for a pair of underwear before. I tried this product after reading about how good wool is for regulating temperature. Since I've been getting heavily into cycling I thought it worth a try. These are truly the most comfortable boxers I've ever worn. The fact that they breathe while cycling is an added plus in my opinion. I would have bought them for the comfort alone long ago had I been aware of them. I will be buying more pairs as finances allow. I think they are worth the extra money. The only reason I gave durability a good instead of excellent is that I've not had them long enough to know for sure. But from what I can tell and what I know of Ibex they will likely be plenty durable.
Great baselayer, but waist fits tight
Ibex woolies are some of the best base layers going, merino wool has replaced all of my synthetic pieces and Ibex makes some of the nicest stuff. I already owned some woolies tops and have been blown away by how well they regulate temperature and handle moisture. The best I have experienced. I typically wear a 33" waist pant, and the medium is supposedly cut to accommodate this measurement, but the waist is too tight for my preference, which is too bad, because the rest fits very well. I'll have to go with large. Ibex is one of the best brands to purchase because of their lifetime warranty for their products. They will accept any garment for exchange (or refund if purchased directly from them) if you have any problems. Of course, Altrec takes care of those concerns themselves, so you can do no wrong. Some people complain of different merino wool base layers feeling scratchy, but whenever I've felt the slightest inkling of itchy-ness, it's been when a garment is new, and a washing takes care of it.
