Remember 1995, when the Dow crept above 4,000 for the first time ever, the Men's Icebreaker Original Zip does. That's the year it was introduced into the Icebreaker lineup, and it remains as popular today as it was then. Part of the Sport Sweaters line, the Original Zip is knit with a dense 320 g/m2 weight wool and sports a ribbed collar and thumbhole sleeves to keep the gaps closed and the warmth in. Set-in sleeves, which are slightly more refined in fit, join the regular fit body and make for an exceptional layering, or outer, piece. The side seams have been moved forward to reduce bulk and the potential for chafing, and finishing touches include the tonal embroidered logo on the left chest and the discretely placed pip label. Calvin and Hobbes may have ended their run in 1995, but the Original Zip for men from Icebreaker was just beginning.

great wool product
Icebreaker has done a fab job of working with Merino and creating a product that is both stylish and comfortable. I am confident it will be durable, but will let you know in a decade. Reckon i will buy more Icebreaker thru Altrec in the future.

Great Shirt
Very rugged and thick shirt, pretty much like a sweater. Excellent fit, no itch at all. Great layering item under a jacket or just by itself with a t-shirt underneath when warmer.

Icebreaker v. Smartwool
I prefer Icebreaker over Smartwool as to durability and otherwise. Specific to this product, the Icebreaker 320 gram products provide greater warmth than anything I've experienced with Smartwool.

Great quality, comfortable, very warm, and well designed. I would highly recommend this product! You can even wear it out like a good sweater. Also an excellent layering piece.

Original, Simple, Perfect
I can see why Icebreaker has become so popular by the standards they set with their original sweater. It simple in design, very comfortable whether wearing around the office or out for dinner, and really well made. This my "go to" sweater. It's perfect.
