Icebreaker Men's Apex Crewe
This wool pull over is awesome! Great for a post run sweater on chilly days and as a tech top on colder days. The thumb loops make it easy to pull on a jacket over with having to fuss with the sleeves

Great Baselayer
I had been looking for a good base/mid layer for outdoor activities, specifically snowboarding. I had gotten some Icebreaker ski socks and was impressed so I was very confident in buying one of their other product lines. I started with the terrain zip and was very impressed, however, I don't like things tight around my neck and that shirt (zipped up) was too restrictive for my taste. So I got the Apex Crewe and want another. Fit -- This is the "body-fit" line so expect it to be more form fitting. Isn't a dry-fit type spandex feel, just not a lot of extra fabric which makes it great as a base-layer. There is no bunching so wearing it under a jacket is perfect. If you have a less-than-stellar body, then it may not be the best outer garment. Comfort -- never want to take it off....not too warm (really just perfect), soft, not restrictive, does bunch or tangle around you as you move. Overall -- yes it is expensive. However, consider how much you pay for outer gear and then think, this is actually against my body and going to make or break my day. Spend the money on what is going to make your day better and don't look back. Thumb holes keep sleeves from coming up, fit is perfect, merino wool perfection for outdoor garments. Not bad styling either. If you don't have the best body and want to use it more as an outer garment, go a size up. I'm 6'1" 195lb and usually wear large shirts, got a large, and it was perfect. Does show through a little in terms of your own "natural" insulation but I got it as a base-layer and not as a out-on-the-town shirt.
