Typical Keen Quality and Detail
I'm a confirmed Keen owner, but this is my first pair of their more hiking-oriented boots (sadly they discontinued my all-time favorite Brooklyn mid, of which I have owned 3 pairs). I live in these shoes, much to the amusement of my SO. They are sturdy and comfortable for light hiking duty and daily chores. They broke-in pretty quickly. I do not use the upper speed laces, finding them more comfortable tied just below.
summer version
I have worn the winter version of this shoe for two or three yearsAnd was pleasantly surprised to see they have a summer version PS I always buy two pair and alternate them
Good Boot
This is the 4th pair of Keens I have bought. The boot is wide and boxey which allows great room for your foot and, along with the square toes, should fit most wide feet. I normally order a wide shoe and Keens are one of the few that fit right. They run a little small so order 1/2 size larger than normal. The collar comes up fairly high over the ankle providing good support but does not cinch tight enough to use this boot for multi-day trips with a heavy pack. It is very light and the footbed is one of the most comfortable you will find anywhere. It does breath well although I had to go from a midweight sock to a lighter sock to stop excess moisture but my feet are hot anyways so this should not be a problem for you. This is a fantastic boot for everyday wear, vacations and day/overnight hikes.
awesome
awesome boots i love them fit perfectly look really good i recommend this to all you
Great Keen boots
I have several Keen boots (Klamath, Oregon PCT, Summit County) and the Voyageur Mid are another great product. These light weight hybrid hikers help keep the feel cool with the mesh, but also provide excellent support which required no break-in time. The footbed contours the feet and allow your feet room to spread even with mid and heavy hiking socks. Highly recommended.
