Every Mammut rope is manufactured in Switzerland using high quality Polyamide 6 (Nylon) filament yarns. Every meter of rope is electronically checked for irregularities, and a sample from each production batch tested in their inhouse drop test tower. The Superflash features Mammut's COATINGfinish process, in which the individual rope strands are PTFE coated in order to minimize chafing and improve friction co-efficiency. This allows substantially lighter ropes with the same number of falls, or ropes which can hold a substantially higher load and have the same weight.
