Mammut 9.5 Infinity Duodess Climbing Rope
When every gram counts, the Mammut 9.5 Infinity Duodess Climbing Rope is ideal for on-sight and red point climbing, super-light alpine ascents, and difficult alpine ascents. This extremely light single rope with small diameter provides superior performance and durability due to its COATINGfinishtreatment that provides protection against water and dirt, DuraFlex heat-treatment process that maintains smooth handling characteristics, and Triosafe midpoint and end marking for added security during rappelling and lowering. This rope slides through pro like butter, but is not suitable for work-out climbing and intensive top-roping.

Mammut Infinity Rocks!
This is my second Infinity and is a 70m. The first, a 60m, is still working great. I like the Infinity because its light weight, has a strong sheath and most of all: has a low impact force ratio AND low elongation. This means that you won't hurt your body or pull your gear out with a high impact force; and you won't hit the ground from too much rope stretch. It's hard to find a rope that has both of these qualities. I also love the duodess bi-weave for finding the middle.
