Great Lumbar Pack
I bought this for my fiancee. She isn't fond of shoulder straps on packs, so this is a great alternative for her. The capacity is just right; not too small; not too big. The waist belt is nicely padded and breathes well for summer hikes. The material feels solid enough to survive some bushwacking and the zippers run smoothly. The overall build quality is really nice. Inside the main compartment is a small organizer for little things like cards, pens etc. The small, outermost pocket is felt lined, which is a nice touch that helps protect sunglass lenses, cameras and other things you don't want scratched up. The shoulder strap isn't a very useful feature, as it is a bit awkward to carry it over the shoulder with the waist belt flailing around. Luckily, it's detachable, so it can stay home. The waist belt pockets are a nice feature, and are the right size for a small snack or an iPhone.
