Marmot Men's Guides Down Sweater
Nothing insulates like goose down, and the Marmot Guides Down Sweater for men has all of the features of a classic down jacket. Its the ideal companion to winter adventure and looks great in town too. The high-loft design compacts nicely for easy trail and travel packing. The DriClime lined collar adds an extra touch for cozy warmth when fully zipped, and Marmots clean design yields a classic look that is equally at home in the Rockies as it is on the streets of Chicago. Its the little details in this Marmot Jacket that set it apart. You will find an updated fit for better warmth and functional style. Excellent Jacket
The Guides Down Jacket is pretty sweet. It's soft, its warm, and it looks great. It is on the "puffy" side compared to some other jackets, but you have to remember...it's a down jacket. It's going to have the extra puff to it. It has nice fleece material around the neck and inside of the pockets which really does help keep your hands warmer. The actual material of the jacket feels a little on the thin side as far as durability. In other words, I worry sometimes that a stick might snag a rip in it or what not. All in all, it really is a pretty awesome down jacket. I have it in the green color and it looks great. It keeps me warm on cold days and I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Great Jacket
I am 6'5", around 205lbs, athletic build and purchased an XL. It fits me well. The body of the jacket is long enough (down to the upper thigh) and so are the sleeves (I generally wear a 36/37 sleeve). I own other Marmot products (jacket and clothes) and find that they generally accommodate taller people. I also find their products to be of great quality. The jacket is warm (not hot, which is a good thing) and does a good job of keeping the wind out.
Great Jacket!
I couldn't be happier with this jacket. The quality, fit and style has exceeded my expectations and I have already received numerous compliments whenever I've worn it. The best thing about this jacket is that it keeps you warm when that's the objective, but is also perfectly comfortable indoors. It also avoids that "bulky" feeling that so many down jackets have and fits well over both base layers and heavier sweaters. Add to that the great price and this is definitely a jacket worth buying now.
Great Quality and Style!
Great quality warm down jacket! A bit lighter weight than others but still very warm and cozy. True to size.
