great baselayer
Marmot lightweight womens bottoms are a great product that provides durability, comfort, and warmth without retaining moisture. These pants have an average fit and would be good for someone with average length legs. However, they may not be the best product if you usually wear a "long" when buying pants.

Comfy and warm
I wore these for the first time in the last few days because the windchill was below 10. They kept me warm when I needed to be warm without me feeling overheated when I was indoors. They also don't seem to add a lot of extra bulk.

odd waist band
They have a 3 finger width, drop-waisted, super wide band. The elastic band is quite bulky with gathers of wrapped capalene over it. I got these last minute for EU Winter travel. A thin base layer. I'll have to layer a wool legging or pant over them.

Had to order a new one
Normally I wear a medium. A medium is snug, but a large is far to large. This medium, while it fits, is a bit snug, and hits in a very low place in the waist. I could technically keep it and it would work for me, but I'd be more comfortable with one size up, as I don't want to struggle with the waist hitting me in the wrong spot.
