fantastic shoe so far
I bought these boots for my husband and for my son as we will be climbing Mt. Fuji in August. They do not even have to break these in like most boots. We are looking forward to this climb and are confident our shoes will keep us dry and comfortable. I purchased the same type of boot from Merrell for women for myself after seeing these boots. Thank you!

SUPER SHOES!
I normally wear a 9-9.5 EE. I read "order a size up" so I bought a pair of 10EE's. Way too big. The 9.5 EE were a perfect fit. I also own Keen Targhee mid's and they wear on my ankle. The Keens are ugly. Yes I said it, UGLY. The Merrell's are great on the trail with very nice Vibram tread and have good ankle support. They also look good with a pair of jeans and are waterproof. I have [con-vert]ed to Merrell and will order some Radius shoes as well. I only wish the Ozzy came in EE. Anyway... you won't be disappointed. Great fit and support. Super padding and toe. Excellent heel support. Easy to get into. Nice long laces (which my Targhee's don't have). Grippy Vibram soles that are very aggressive.

Mid height boots
I didn't realize when I ordered, but "Mid" means mid height. The boots themselves are probably great, but they didn't offer any ankle support. Just a heads up.
