Another win from Merrell
I've always been a fan of Merrell footwear; it's top-notch: comfortable, supportive, and the Q-angle design for women is outstanding. These boots are no different! They are true to size (I bought a 7, a half size up from my normal 6.5) and very comfortable. We got a good snow on the night that they arrived, and I wore them out into the elements immediately (and subsequently all weekend). They required no break-in, kept my feet warm and dry, and are extremely light-weight -- not at all cumbersome, which is why I've held off buying waterproof hikers in the past. I'm in love. Highly recommend!
Excellent Hiking Boot
These hiking boots are another great issue by Merrell. They are well made of quality materials and provide excellent traction and support. They are outstanding performers, especially on tough terrain and rocky shorelines where the mid design serves to prevent the turning of an ankle. They are true to size and width and are great out of the box and require no break-in. For colder weather a light to mid-weight quality hiking sock is all that is needed as these boots are waterproof and live up to the claim. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a good hiker. I love em'!
Great hiking boots
I bought these boots for my forthcoming hiking trip to Machu Pichu. These boots are strong and beautiful yet they are not too stiff for me. They are great quality and well made. I love Merrells.
My daughter thinks these are great...so far
I purchased these for my daughter, who has gone off to college in a mountain community. She is not really one for hiking boots, but I knew she would need something warm and waterproof, and I'm hoping this is it. She stated the fit was very comfortable, and I purchased her regular size. She tried them on with Smartwool socks and walked around in the house. The construction of the boots seems on a par with other Merrell products, which I have been purchasing for years. I hope when she actually wears them this autumn and winter she will continue to love them. She said they do not feel "clunky" and felt comfortable as soon as she tried them on.
These shoes were very comfortable especially in the heel. I have a wide foot and these were great. The upper part of the shoe is taking longer to break in. They seem stiffer but I have hopes for them. I usually wear a 8 but ordered a 9 and that is working
