Metolius PAS (Personal Anchor System)

Yet another example of Metolius' commitment to products that are safer by design, the Metolius P.A.S. Personal Anchor System is designed to give the climber a highstrength anchor connection while threading for the lower, setting up a rappel or belaying. The PAS should replace the daisy chain that many climbers wear affixed to their harnesses for belay changeovers. Daisy chains should NOT be used because they are fullstrength only when loaded in the end loops. The Personal Anchor System is super convenient and easily adjustable just clip the loop which puts you at the correct height and . . . voila! When not in use, just leave it girthhitched to your tiein points, gather the extra loops and clip to the side for compact storage. The PAS is constructed from our superstrong, 16mm Monster Sling webbing.

Versatile anchor system
Excellent product to use instead of a regular sling when setting up your anchor. Having full strength at every clip is why this product is necessary if you're still using a daisy chain. Essential for multi-pitch climbing. So far it's been durable, and does not cost much more than a sling given its versatility.

Great piece of gear!
I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship of this product. Once you use it, you will understand why you would never want to go out without it again. I now believe that I have just been lucky using my daisy chains without incident all this time. My recommendation is, make the switch, and get yourself a Metolius PAS today! I do not think that you will be the least bit dissappointed.

Simple and Safe
I use my PAS for cleaning anchors on sport climbs. I like being able to go indirect from a wide range of distances from the bolts or chains. There's obviously other alternatives to cleaning an anchor, but the PAS is a simple, safe, light, and low-bulk option.

Great product for climbers
So useful for clipping into anchors, or when cleaning routes attaching to the rap rings. Just strap it to your harness, and you're super safe with no finagling at the end of a route.
