Metolius SuperCam
Sweating the guesstimates of proper placement can be a pain unless you have the range finders on these asymmetrically-shaped SuperCams from Metolius. The company carefully machined the SuperCam with offset small cam lobes that pass within the arc of the larger lopes, giving the SuperCam more effective use of the entire cam spiral. The enhanced cam angle and precision spring tension also creates substantial outward force that is combined with the wide cam face for plenty of grip in a variety of spaces. Available in three sizes, each SuperCam has a range finder that instantly tells you if you have the right cam for the right spot in the rock.

Superb larger cam
I have a set of these cams, with doubles in the small and medium. The largest is a bit ungainly but the gray small is probably my favorite hand size cam. With the added expansion range, you can always guarantee the cam won't get stuck. Doesn't kink in falls, and resists walking much better than my Trango Max cams, these pieces are easily placed and great for any experienced or beginning trad leader's rack.
Metolius Super Cam
This cam works well. And is solid. One problem though. If you need to compress this cam to achieve the smallest placement, it will extend beyond the tip, touch the back of the rock, if the crack is shallow.
