3d hangboard
I do not climb and purchased this as a fitness tool. I mounted it above my garage door opening app. 9' from the deck. it is a good grip developer and can be used for a combination of hanging and pulling maneuvers . Works great for all variations of chins , knees to elbows, lateral hops between the jugs and static holds to name a few.
The simulator is surprisingly and comfortably big. It has a really good variety of pockets, edges, jugs and slopers. It doesn't really have pinches though. It's bomber (I couldn't break it if I tried) and easy to hang (hardware included, but you'll probably need a piece of plywood as a base). It's perfect for those busy days where there's not enough time to get outside, but you have 20 minutes to do some pull-ups and contact strength exercises. I don't think there's any better workout for climbing than actual climbing, but this is the next best option.
Something to grow with
I am 5'7" and 140lbs. This is a great tool for me to gain the strength I want to be able to play in the outdoors. The grip of the material makes you feel like you are actually on the rocks and with the many different hold sizes it allows you to be proficient on the boulders in the wilderness. It is easy to hang and comes with instructions on how to hang and use plus gives you a workout chart from beginner to experienced. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to build strength to play or compete.
