Great for cold weather.
Bought this because a buddy of mine has the HH2. Day after receiving it I did an overnight trip at a state park. Got down to 20 degrees outside. With the zip-close windows it sealed up tight and was plenty warm for me and 2 retrievers. Ambient temp in the tent was about 25-30 degrees over outside temps after we heated it up. Only thing that annoys me is the door are small and when you have the rainfly on you have to reach out and put your hand on the ground to get out because you can't reach the zipper on the fly. It's a small complaint I know but it's the only one I could think of. :) I won't complain as much next time when i need all that dry space for storage. :)
Fantastic tent: spacious, simple, and dry
We took the tent on it's maiden voyage this weekend and it performed flawlessly. It was very easy to set up and had plenty of room inside for two campers and some gear. The ventilation options in this tent are amazing. You can open up just the top or the entire front side, plus there are small windows in the doors and a panel in the back. Even with the rain fly on, we had reasonable air movement inside. It has small stash pockets on either side (something not mentioned in the specs), and plenty of headroom, too. On day 3 of our outing, the weather turned to steady rain, but we stayed comfortable and dry. Some of our fellow campers had wet floors and some wet gear at the edges of their tents, but not us. All in all, we're very happy with our purchase.
