All-around Great Soft Shell Jacket
First, the sizing is definitely off on this jacket. I wear a size small in every other Mountain Hardwear jacket (Windstopper Tech, Synchro, G50). For whatever reason, this jacket is about a 1/2 a size too small. The size small jacket was super tight around the arms, chest, waist and was short in the torso. I got a medium and it fits okay with some room to allow for a layer. Aside, from the sizing, this jacket is probably the best soft shell I've tried. The material is really soft, so it feels more like a comfortable hoody. There's a light fleece lining that provides some warmth, but doesn't overheat when active. The hood is big (helmet-compatible) which isn't useful when you don't have a helmet, but it's adjustable. Lots of really nice pockets inside and out. Despite what the description says, this does have a Conduit waterproof, windproof membrane, which means it's 100% windproof and for light precipitation, it's waterproof. Only the seams of the hood are taped, so water can get into the torso and arms. I got the jacket just in time for a weekend of tree planting in the pouring rain. I worked in a constant downpour for a few hours straight and not a drop got inside the jacket. It's become one of my favorite jackets for everyday use and will definitely be with me when I head outdoors.
Nice Jacket
Nice color ,actually it's more brightter than pic .And It's very Breathable ,also windprof. The hoody is big enough to fit my helmet Compare to synchro ski ,mecurial is not waterprof. That's why I not give 5 star .
Good deal
I am slender and 5'8", jacket fits and lookks great. Haven't put it to a test yet, but I feel it will perform well.
Great soft shell for cool weather
Pros: - Jacket looks great, with a nice fluid look. It actually looks better than the image on the site, it is better tailored and with more details than the image would let one to believe. - Grill color I chose is a nice grey to go with anything when wearing in an urban environment, yet making it a little different from the usual black. - Great attention to details from Mountain Hardwear (as usual) from seams to pockets - Good Performance - Great value Cons: - Nothing really... other than I thought from the Mountain Hardwear description this jacket would be thicker/heavier for warmth. This is a medium soft shell meaning that you may want to look somewhere else for a really warm layer
Great gift!
I bought this jacket for my husband. He just loves it. He wears it when hiking, hunting and skiing! Nice blue color. When it gets below - 3 degrees Celsius and windy, he has to put on a windjacket.
