Leg Armor
Great, fun, piece of equipment... aside of keeping snow out, i find i can use it during my hot midsummer day hikes as protection for my calfs from horrible plants that would go through my pants otherwise. I haven't had a problem with overheating. Perfect fit and works flawlessly with my hiking boots. Looks really cool to boot.
Overall Great Quality
The large size I bought are a tiny bit too big for my size 10 boot but a medium would be way too small. Not enough of of an issue to return. They fit great otherwise, and are not restrictive. The only knock is that the hook on the front faces down and is attached by a fixed piece of cordura (?); not an elasticized cord. BIG mistake because the hook does not stay attached. It's actually useless. Otherwise I like then a lot.
Great fit, durability and elasticity
M size fits well for size 8-9 boots. 42 cm length fits well and does not prevent knee movement. It is great for winter backpacking and climbing. Its elasticity lets free ankle movement. Also high quality fabric very durable and long lasting. This is one of the best gaiters I have ever used.
Has potential
Like the construction and materials, but XL is far too large for boots size 12, so I need to try a smaller size.
Decent if the weather isn't too bad
I like these gaiters because of the calf adjustment and the breathablity of the fabric, but there are a few issues. The breathablity of the fabric is a trade off for not being fully waterproof. If you are spending a lot of time in wet snow or grass these will soak thru and your pants and socks will get soaked. I've also had a lot of problems keeping the heel strap tight, it keeps loosening and the the bottom of the gaiters slide up. When plunge stepping these will fill with snow, almost worse than no gaiters at all. If the fabric was more waterproof and the heel straps would stay tight these would be perfect. But I'll be switching to the Crocodiles for better protection.
