Mountain Hardwear Pack Rain Cover

Great build, a little bigger than I expected
This rain cover is well made and I like that the storage bag is built into the cover itself. I got the small and it is a little too big for my everyday TNF Surge backpack, but will fit my weekend pack great.

Excellent quality
This is the highest quality backpack cover I have seen (it's also the heaviest). However, it is not large enough for my 6550 cu in Kelty backpack. So, I went with an Outdoor Research Extra Large lightweight pack cover. The OR did fit with room to spare so it's by far the largest cover out there (I did quite a bit of research). I narrowed all of them down to two and had to order both and return the one that didn't fit. In spite of the increased weight I would have kept this cover if it would have fit. Seems like it would last a very long time. The OR is closer to parachute material so won't last as long.

Excellent fit over fully loaded BMG pack
Fits well over fully loaded BMG pack (6500ci), even with 2 Carcia bear cans attached to the outside. Compresses nicely into it's own sack.

Good Cover
Overall, it is a good rain cover. I like that it is made out of durable material, but like others have said, it seems a little thicker than most rain covers. Maybe some day I will catch it on a tree and be thankful, but as for now I'd like to lose the weight. I bought the small to go over my Lg Fluid 32 pack, which is 35L, so there is a bit of extra room in it, which I expected. It can easily fit a fully loaded pack, with two water bottles and have room to spare for some gear attached to the outside.

Large rainfly to big for 60L pack
Way too big but that's okay. Its pretty cool how it packs into itself pretty easy too. Its pretty heavy but durable and was to big for my TNF terra 60. I think it was over priced but most MH is.
