Solid Hiking Pants
Love the new leg hem zipper - so much better than previous years. Love the long inseam on zip off short, I'm 6'4" and the shorts hit just above my knee. The new pocket designs are excellent and the relaxed fit/long length is perfect. Can't go wrong with these pants!
Mesa Convertible Pants
Never purchased before but have several friends who wore them. Perfect fit, durable and awesome build quality. Although they are pricey they are worth every penny. Six foot, 190 pounds and 34 inch waist and the medium fit perfectly. The legs have a zip that goes up almost to the knee and a button down at the bottom to secure the leg. A little zip pocket on the right thigh and two spacious rear pockets as well as the regular front two pockets work very well for carrying random stuff. Very comfortable pants and ruggage as well. Exactly what I needed.
Killer convertables
I wore these pants for the first time on the appalachian trail in new Hampshire. I spent three days in the same pants zipping and unzipping them as they weather changed. They held up well and were very comfortable. They stretched well with movement and dried out quickly. Great product for the price. I would by them all over again.
My brother-in-law introduced me to the Mesa Convertible pants and I loved them the first time I put them on. I find it somewhat hard to find pants that fit comfortably all day since I have a larger than average lower body; pant seats and thighs are the deciding factor for me. Quality seems to be excellent. I couldn't give it 5 stars for durability yet since I've only had them for a short time, but I doubt that it'd be lacking. I chose this pair of pants over the convertible Matterhorn pants because of the more comfortable lightweight material.
These pants are the best.....
I did exchange the belt with one of my own. After clipping a few stitches, this proved to be pretty easy and makes the pants one of the most comfortable, "go-to" pair of pants I own. I really like the convertibility and the fabric is very light but strong. They look good and feel great on. What more could you ask? Cannot rate the durability yet, but so far so good.
