Mountain Hardwear Men's Nitrous Hooded Jacket
Ideal for an alpine summer bivy or belaying your girlfriend on a fall climbing trip, the Mountain Hardwear Men's Nitrous Hooded Jacket is lightweight, packable and warm. Designed with an athletic fit, this hooded down jacket makes a great outer layer over a long sleeve shirt and is perfect as a mid layer under a waterproof shell.
Thin, downproof Sensor Ripstop polyester is finished with DWR to repel moisture and the quilted construction keeps the 800-fill goose down insulation perfectly placed for an even distribution of warmth. A contoured hood saves weight by not including drawcords, so for a snug fit you'll want to wear it under a jacket with an adjustable hood or with a bandana or buff around your head to keep it in place. Elastic cuffs and a drawcord at the hem help seal in warmth and 2 zippered front pockets offer refuge for cold hands and a secure spot to stash small essentials.
The stargazing is best at higher elevations. Pull on the midweight Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Hooded Jacket for men, snuggle your stubbly chin against the Micro-Chamois-lined chin guard and settle in for some quality time with the Big Dipper.

Nice jacket
I like this jacket. It fits perfectly on my body. The size of the jacket does run small so make sure to order up. The sleeve length is ideal for my arms but others may find the sleeves to be a bit short. I haven't really worn this jacket much, so I can't comment on its durability. The style, fit and warmth are great. I would recommend this jacket to others.
Great jacket
I'm really pumped about this jacket. Great weight to warmth ratio. Fits true to size. Convenient pocket locations. Great as an insulation layer if your shell allows sufficient loft in the down. Awesome for sleeping in when the temp drops unexpectedly. I'm about 5'11" and 200lbs and the XL fits fine. Only con is the lack of a draw cord on the hood. I knew it when I bought it and it doesn't bother me much. If MH isn't going to add a draw string on the hood because of weight, they should definitely shrink the size of the hood so it form fits to the head better.
Awesome Jacket!
This is an amazing jacket, light, warm and packable. But you got to be super skinny to wear this. No big chest or no big stomach. I am 6 feet 175lbs, Med. is perfect. I also got additional large if I need to layer underneath. Highly recommended for skinny people!
Lightest Jacket Ever
This Mountain Hardwear coat is extremely light and very comfortable. Used it on my trek to Everest Basecamp and kept warm at night. Highly recommend this jacket.
lightweight warmth
Superlight weight and slim fitting, this jacket is quite the fashion statement. It fits snugly so if you want to wear something underneath it, order up a size. This would work well in spring conditions or as a liner under a shell. Neither windproof nor water resistant. Great for the canyons of NY. My wife just bought the Patagonia version of this jacket and it seems better designed -- that one has a pull string to adjust the hood.
