Good Coverage
I bought these shorts because they were dri-fit and the leg length was modest enough for a 50-something. They are very comfortable and I like the inner liner (with small pocket for my car key). My only complaint is that the rise is a little short but since I usually wear my pants below my waist, I'm comfortable with them. I am 5'3" tall, 138 lb. and the size medium was a good fit with roominess to walk without excess bagginess. I like them so much that I am considering buying another pair.
Not quite right...
I have recently started training for a 1/2 marathon and couldn't find running shorts with an inseam longer than 2 inches!! These shorts are a great length..they hit me just above mid-thigh. I should note, that I am 5'3, 135 lbs and athletic build. The fabric is smooth and comfortable. It has several conveniently located pockets for a key and/or an ID card. The problem I ran into was a manufacturing one. The built-in underwear/elastic was very tight around the booty area, so I simply cut them out. The front of the shorts also hang more like a men's short (a little baggy in the crotch). Again, finding a plain black pair of running shorts with a little length is challenging. These are overpriced for me, but I also know Mountain Hardwear runs high. All-in-all a good short, but it still needs a few modifications.
