Great running shoes
I have been wearing Nike for running shoes for over 10 years because they fit me well (at least, the more expensive ones like these do). At 6'4" and 210 pounds, I need something cushiony to absorb all that impact. These shoes do the job perfectly. They are very high quality and I have zero complaints. I especially like the styling. Regarding sizing, they are typical Nike sizing. Whereas I wear a 13 in all of my other shoes, I need a 14 in my running shoes. (I am a UK size 47)
vomero
I love these shoes. The biggest difference between these shoes and my past shoes is the level of comfort that I get. I have really bad arches and usually have to wear insoles but I have not had to thus far.
Upgrade from Zoom Vomero +4
I owned a Zoom Vomero +4 and liked it a lot. Good ruuning shoe and very comfortable. Now, I bought the V +5 and is offer same performance as V +4. I love the new look!
If you are a big runner, this one is for you.
I weight 220lb and I run regularly. I have so far three Marathons under my belt. I tried many running shoes over the years and finally settled down on Nike Vomero. I had problem with my right knee for many years. The extreme cushioning of this shoes plus a insole allow me to run without knee pain. The only problem is that I am a heavy heel-striker. I wear down the edge of the heel sole to nothing in about 100 miles. I start on a new pair about every 2 months. That is a small price to pay considering the alternative - knee pain.
Just the right cushioning in the right places
This is my second pair of Vomeros (+2). I loved my first pair that I bought here and was looking to replace and was very pleasantly surprised to to have the same comfort level that I had come accustomed to. I (6' 2", 205lbs.) have heel spurs in both feet so cushioning and support is of the utmost importance. I can notice the difference with the heel and forefoot cushion from my old pair and now after more time in the +5's, I like what Nike has done with forefoot cushioning. If Altrec gets some other color choices that are available on the market currently I will purchase another pair.
